Finding stuff to write about can be tough.
Especially since you need to have enough to talk about to create an interesting and lengthy piece.
You also need to have a pretty good understanding of what you’re talking about, otherwise, there is little value in the article.
All this can be challenging.
I’m never at a loss for things I can write about.
And that’s a beautiful feeling since I’m always eager to publish more and share my knowledge.
Want to know where 90% of my content ideas come from?
They all come from watching podcasts.
This is interesting because podcasts are also where 90% of my learning comes from about my niche.
See, I write about men’s self-improvement. And watching podcasts aimed at improving men is one of the ways I love to spend my free time.
They are entertaining and educational.
Best of all, throughout a podcast, dozens of ideas for articles materialize in my head, and I flick over to medium to add them to my drafts.
My advice is that you begin watching long, full-form podcasts in your niche since it will deepen your understanding and give you a plethora of article ideas.
For people in the same niche as me, here are some of my favorite men’s self-improvement podcasts:
- Modern Wisdom — Chris Williamson
- Diary Of A CEO — Steven Bartlett
- Huberman Lab — Andrew Huberman
It’s far more valuable to watch full-length, unedited podcasts that run for hours compared to minutes since the depth of knowledge and understanding will be far greater.
Due to the length of these episodes, I also found that I became much more invested and therefore remembered much more compared to shorter 10–20-minute videos.
